Chapter Three
Rina
âWellâ¦â Nick gave me a cocky grin. âI wasnât expecting to do that tonight.â
I laughed, my cheeks heating. âNeither was I.â
âCan I see you again?â
I winked, leaving the bathroom stall.
Nick followed me, gave me a quick kiss on the back of the neck and started walking to the door. âIâll meet you at the bar. Oh and Rina?â
âYeah?â
âI donât suggest standing me up.â
I shivered at the threat hidden beneath his deep voice.
Once I washed up, I made sure I didnât look like I just had my guts rearranged and went out to join Jessa.
When I neared the bar, I found Nick sitting at it with a beer in front of him and another drink off to the side.
I joined him, sitting on the stool beside him.
âFor you.â He pushed the tumbler with amber liquid swimming in the bottom, closer to me.
âThank you.â Crossing my knee over the other, I turned to him. âShouldnât you be with your friends?â I asked, nodding toward the group of guys who Jessa was still currently hanging out with.
âNah. It does seem like your friend is getting acquainted with them though.â
I snorted. âShe likes her men.â She was leaning against one of the guys with her legs resting on anotherâs lap. âShe really likes her men.â
Nick chuckled. âItâs one thing Iâve never been able to do.â
âOh? Whatâs that?â
âShare my women.â He jutted his chin. âShep and Patrick love sharing women. I wouldnât be surprised if they both ended up with the same one, one day. But itâs not my thing.â
âI donât know. Two of you seems pretty delicious.â I waggled my eyebrows.
Nickâs laugh deepened.
âNot my thing, babe.â
It wasnât my thing either, but it didnât mean that I couldnât fantasize about it. While Nick and I continued drinking our drinks in silence, I watched the crowd of people move with the deep bass of the music. Sex was in the air, literally, and I couldnât help but wonder how many others were getting their brains fucked out in a bathroom stall tonight.
âRina.â Nickâs deep voice pulled me back around.
I turned in the stool toward him, taking another sip of my scotch. âWhat?â
âI want to see you again.â
He had said that already. Truth was, a man like him could break me. He was older. More experienced. Clearly. And while we certainly had a connection, it didnât mean that I was ready to take this to the next step and have a relationship with the guy. I just wanted some fun tonight. Jessa told me to. Happy Birthday to me.
âTodayâs my birthday,â I told him.
Nick tilted his head, his eyes twinkling. âIs that so.â
âYup. I turned twenty-one.â I waited to see if the fact that I was young grossed him out, but it only seemed to make that delicious tick in his jaw beat more. âDoes that bother you?â I asked anyway.
In a quick move, Nick pulled my stool closer to his. He leaned toward me, his hand gripping the seat of the stool that I was currently sitting on.
